SOUTH NODE CONJUNCT CHIRON: CRITICAL ENCOUNTERS

March is the big kahuna, featuring the kind of dynamics that can literally transform life in a split second. Eclipses season is en route for Spring, signaling that bright new beginnings as well as the necessary endings to make room for the new are likely to occur throughout March. The Pisces eclipse on the 8th will receive very positive energy from the Jupiter – Pluto trine. The Libra eclipse on the 23rd connects right into the topics and agenda of our new four month Sun – Mercury cycle, beginning at 3 Aries on the 23rd. If you thought 2016 was a snooze, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Endings and culminations are prominent, look to where Pisces resides in your chart to see where they are most likely to occur. Numerous contacts from the South Node conjunct to Sun (Mar. 12th), Mercury (Mar. 17th) and Venus (Mar. 30th) will bring matters to conclusion where it is time to release a dream or fantasy. Pisces is the vessel of our most etherial and visionary desires. It associates with the transcendence of the ordinary, the mundane and the real. The South Node transits reveal what we have to let go of, and in the case we do not feel prepared to surrender our illusions, these can be quite painful episodes.

South Node is also conjunct Chiron for most of the month. It’s time to relinquish this constant need to self therapize our Chiron – Pisces issue. Chiron is a secondary ruler to Virgo, and with Chiron there is this pervasive need to fix things, which is rooted entirely in the concept that Something Is Wrong. Let that noise go for now. There can be an episode that triggers memories of pain, loss or the capacity to heal in this area, and what is revealed may even be connected to a past life. While it may feel this intuition is highly instructive, it is only through surrendering the desire to reconcile our “issue” (or someone else’s for that matter,) that we will genuinely be enabled to construct a healthy new narrative in which we release the subconscious patterning that is blocking our evolution, which right now is tied to Something Is Wrong.

Profound detoxification is possible now if we actually become aware that we are using alcohol, drugs or some other form of delusion inducing compulsion in order to compel truthfulness to Something Is Wrong. Drink a lot of water, cry as much as you need to and be willing to experience the process on a COMPLETELY PHYSICAL LEVEL. If you begin to overthink and attempt to rationalize your feelings (STOP NOW!) or are experiencing stress, try the breathing exercise from my last post, take a walk or get some exercise. The aspect peaks around the 24th (21 Pisces), just following the Libra Eclipse. Hardy, har, har!!! Love, the Universe.

In the way that the South Node Aries contacts last year demonstrated how we needed to cultivate new ways to assert ourselves (most demonstrably through cooperating with others,) South Node Pisces is urging us to emancipate ourselves from worn out delusions that are preventing us from embracing the future. If we are able to change our perception, this becomes a LIBERATING experience, where the stuff we are getting rid of allows us make room for new and vitalizing experiences up ahead. These are only painful transitions if we cling desperately to the past.

The March 8th eclipse falls at 18’ 56” Pisces, and is really quite extraordinary. It signals a new dream is taking root, and taps into the incredible and transformative energy of the Jupiter – Pluto trine (exact on the 16th at 17 degrees Virgo – Capricorn). The earth element is highly supportive and assists in manifesting the visionary objective that initiates at this time. The combination of material reinforcement (Earth signs) with the spiritual and inspirational qualities (Pisces – Jupiter) produce a marvelous ambience for creative, artistic and visionary pursuits. There is a big boost for these activities and we can productively transform through them at this time. Saturn, meanwhile, challenges the enticing developments that occur, and it’s equally likely that duty, restriction or obligation weighs heavily on our ability to make the most of the otherwise lovely developments unfolding in this period. It is possible the awareness that emerges in relation to this conflict stimulates us to take action to resolve this issue.

March 6th features the second of three quincunx aspects between Jupiter and Uranus. The first occurred last November and the final one will be on August 13th. We are in the ongoing process of modifying and refining (Virgo!) a project or enterprise we began as far back as 2010, a period which seeded the initiation of a very innovative and expansive enterprise. Saturn also makes a second square to Jupiter on the 23rd. From the Stargazer 2016 overview: “It was in June of 2010 that Jupiter and Uranus linked up at 0’ Aries, signaling a very innovative project or expansive, revolutionary new way of thinking was initiated. Also in the mix was Saturn in opposition at 0’ Libra.” This whole configuration culminates in December, when Jupiter (Libra) opposes Uranus (Aries) with Saturn in Sagittarius harmonizing both.

It’s a safe bet what occurs (and even more so what we put into motion as a result of these influences,) is very significant in terms of how this whole thing turns out for us at the end of the year. In August we’ll be putting the finishing touches on the work we began in November, right now we are at an interesting mid-point, seeing how well things we set into motion are working out and correcting the course where we need to. The quincunx is a very experimental, alchemical aspect, and the energies are so completely incongruous to work with. Uranus dispatched Jupiter from the edge of Pisces – Aries, the point of complete dissolution into the point of absolute initiation. Jupiter has traveled, seen some sights, and learned some particularly difficult lessons while it navigated the Cardinal Cross. And now in Virgo, Jupiter needs to become malleable and studious, and take all it has learned and REFINE it into something useful. Aries – Uranus is the utmost of impulse energy, it is just so freaking volatile. Jupiter has the task of absorbing the heat and lightning bolts and pressure and transforming all that energy into something of value.

What that thing is has a lot to do with what you set out to achieve during the period in mid 2010 – 2011. Again, at that time you may have only sensed the revolutionary forces percolating beneath the surface. Brilliant, but unusual and innovative concepts may have started to present themselves, providing alternatives you would have never considered previously. As recently as last June, when Jupiter – Uranus were trine, we got a huge boost of initiative for this undertaking, some kind of signal to tell us we were going in the right direction. Again, listen to the message, take in the criticism and notes, whether they illicit from inside or outside, all of it is useful to you right now and will ultimately serve you to clarify what you are doing in order to reach that successful conclusion in December.

LIBRA ECLIPSE CHART:

Our second eclipse falls on the 3 Aries – Libra axis, bringing to a conclusion a long range metamorphosis that extends as far back as October of 2013. The Aries eclipse September 27th of last year signaled the resolution of a long standing way of existence. As the Moon disappeared behind the shadow of the Earth that night, a dream or desire became submerged within the depths of the psyche. Do you remember this dream or what you were thinking of as the Moon disappeared? It’s quite possible that your desires becomes unleashed now, as the Sun illuminates it from Aries and brings light and life to the emotional treasure we buried last Fall. It’s possible too, a dramatic shift occurs now that enables us to reclaim that which we sought after 6 months ago. While this is a period of incredible emotional release, and possibly turbulence, the Eclipse itself is well aspected, with Mars in a very supportive position, providing energy to undertake what transpires, offering a helpful and philosophical attitude beaming over from generous Sagittarius. It’s possible a masculine figure is highly instrumental at this time. Mercury resides right next to the Sun, initiating the Sun – Mercury cycle that initiates the next 4 month cycle of daily activities and communication. (More below**) Door closes, window opens.

Mars is slowing in orbit, preparing for its’ retrograde period, beginning next month from April 18th – June 30th. Moving into Sagittarius on the 7th, the planet of action and energy stimulates an more outgoing ambience than we experienced from Scorpio, and although certain activities may be slowing some what, there is vitality and excitement available during this transit. Mars is on the heels of Saturn of course, activating us to take initiative on the long range goals Saturn has set for us. This work in progress continues through August, when Mars and Saturn meet, so imagine this part of your life is a bit like a construction zone, from Sag at least we can be optimistic! 🙂

Venus is highly active with contacts across the spectrum, the most notable of which is the conjunction to Neptune on the 20th. This highly romantically charged aspect taps our ability to see the very best in people, and stimulates a new cycle connected to a visionary pursuit or undertaking. Inspiration is strong, and feelings of love are transcendental. Also in the mix is a volatile Venus – Mars square on the 14th, which generates a lot of romantic and sexual friction if our needs our not being met on either level in our partnerships. The 25th may also prove quite challenging as Venus (Pisces) locks horns with the Jupiter (Virgo) – Saturn (Sagittarius) square that perfects two days earlier. There can be disconcerting and frustrating delays at this time impacting both finances and relationships. Hang in there! The following day Venus contacts Pluto harmoniously, allowing for transformative and passionate experiences to unfold.

Sun conjunct Mercury March 23rd – 3’ Aries

This Mercury cycle initiates under the auspices of the Libra Eclipse (3’ 17” Libra) suggesting immensely emotional overtones to beginnings we make now, very likely connected to events and awareness stimulated over the prior 2 years and illuminated specifically last September during the Aries Eclipse 4’ 40”, (September 27th, 2015). A Lunar Eclipse, such as this, portends endings, so what begins now is likely an extension of the closure of a long standing pattern or way of life. One door closes, another opens, as they say. This beginning is given a positive beam of encouragement from Mars in trine from Sagittarius, perhaps we are about to embark on a big adventure and saying farewell to a way of life that has become quite outmoded to make this journey. Jupiter sends very positive vibrations (trine from Virgo) during the retrograde cycle* itself, so themes of expansion are amplified. The last two weeks of May feature positive developments implicating business agreements, travel, education and pursuits associated with the media or broadcasting. Jupiter will have recently turned direct, (May 10th) so it might be that an agreement, contract or negotiation at this time (though temporarily stalled during the upcoming RX cycle of Mercury,) finally comes through and sends us off in a big, big way.

You’ll find some of the pressure coming off in relation to your career, a far more social tone is present after the 6th. You may notice that it’s time to release bad habits associated with spending on the 12th, 17th or 30th, though it’s equally possible you discover a strategy you had tried to employ in relation to earnings and savings is not going to work out. As always, release the dead weight as quickly as possible in order to make space available for better opportunities.

PISCES: Potent forces are accumulating this month and remarkable and positive changes are due. The March 8th eclipse in your sign portends a significant shift in perspective, very likely in relation to a spouse or business alliance. February – Minefields and Maintenance

If January felt like a false start, worry not – it was due to the Mercury retrograde phase that lasted from January 6 – 26 that slowed our New Year’s progress considerably. Very potent forces are at work this month, particularly in the first half, that have a very favorable influence on business and commercial activities. Sun in Pisces from the 19th softens the edges considerably, until then the atmosphere is very productive as Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter all collaborate effectively to assist us to meet our material and professional goals. Any traction you may have thought you lost last month is quickly made up for. The climate is serious and tenacious, and objectives are highly intensified in the first two weeks.

We do have the challenges of Venus – Pluto and Venus – Uranus to overcome on the 5th and 6th. Uranus and Pluto are still in tight angle, and Mercury retrograde recently brought light to this conflict December 20 – 21, 2015, then again in late January 21st and 22nd, and again the 30th and 31st. All these contacts pointed to hard confrontations with Uranus – Pluto, and trying to break through the incredible pressures we have felt as a result of their square (which has been a pervasive issue since June 24, 2012). This simmering, volatile confrontation between ourselves and circumstances or with others has been a major influence on this recent Mercury retrograde cycle in January. Mercury has articulated the issue, and now Venus enters the picture, appealing to our heart at this crucial turning point. Themes of power and control (Pluto) remain relevant, while the square to Uranus can suggest a highly unanticipated backlash. Love may indeed prove to be the catalyst for a major breakthrough at this time. These are hair-trigger minefield aspects, so proceed cautiously. It’s ultimately a personal choice each of us will make to engage with or disarm the conflicts that arise. (Feeling stressed? Check out the breathing exercise at the very bottom of this post. Jupiter and the North Node remain in close proximity for the first week of the month. We are still being asked to see the bigger picture, and to use that awareness to meet the evolutionary goals of Virgo North Node. That goal is about doing something really, really well and a refinement of a project, product or the self are all indicated. With Virgo everything is in the details, so check and double check that the quality of each part of whatever it is you are working on is absolutely spot on perfect. Jupiter is retrograde so it’s more likely we are seeing the ways in which we didn’t handle the topic (of the house being transited in your chart) well enough. Retrogrades are all about re-evaluation, and on a more positive note, second chances. These two meet again in June, offering a huge boost up the evolutionary ladder where we now take the time to scrutinize what could be improved upon and then doing the work to make the project, product or ourselves better so we may fully take advantage of that second chance.

Mercury (Feb. 7), Venus (February 10th) and Mars (February 16th) tap the Nodal Axis, offering a vantage point that allows us to see both where we are headed and where we came from simultaneously. It’s easier now to reconcile to endings we have or will be making, (most likely during the South Node conjunctions occurring next month, as well as at the time of the Pisces eclipse March 8th,) so if you get intonations it’s time to start saying farewell to something or someone, (and this may be part of a highly internal process, preparing YOURSELF for transformative experiences ahead,) by all means, heed those cues. The intuition you get around these dates is highly accurate, and you may even notice serendipities occurring around you that tie into events that transpired late last August/early September or receive a premonitory flash of what is to come.

AQUARIUS NEW MOON Feb. 8th

Our viewpoint becomes radicalized as Sun transits Aquarius, followed by Mercury Feb. 14th and Venus Feb. 16th.
